Starting this summer our 2013 toyota highlander was having a terrible odor coming from the ac. Went to dealer and was told they would clean out the ac/ evaporator box with ammonia and then put a mint spray to reduce ammonia smell. Paid $65 for this service. On way home i smell nothing but a stale odor. The next day the moldy smell was back. Didn't even have to start car. The second i opened door it hit me. I went on…

On saturday, may 30th at approximately 8:30 i was moving our 2005 highlander from the street into our reserved parking space within our complex. As i was starting my right hand turn into the complex the car accelerator stuck. I hit the curb on the driver's/left side causing the vehicle to veer to the right. As the car continued to accelerate i hit a tree and knocked over one of the community's posted signage. The…

After an synthetic oil change and rear brake job at firestone a few days earlier in atlanta, i was driving along and my check vsc system light came on. I then took it back to firestone and they put it on the computer and there were no codes; subsequently they suggested that i take it to the dealer for diagnosis. The diagnosis at the dealer revealed that i needed a new abs accumulator and this could be repaired for…

The sun visor popped when i was pulling it down to sheild my eyes and now it will not return to original position. Concern as it gets in my way when driving. This is the drivers side visor which i tend to hit my head on and have to move my seat lower in order to see properly. I took it to my dealership and they told me it would be $300 to fix. That is ridiculous as i feel this is a faulty part that could be a…

Drivers side seat belt nylon webbing (actual belt portion) has started to severely unravel in several different places. I feel this is a factory defect in materials; however, local dealership where vehicle was purchased informs me that it will cost me $270 to replace this belt. Cost so high because the whole mechanism must be replaced...not just webbing. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income & cannot afford to…

I own a 2008 highlander sport that has a major issue with the door locks. The remote key fob no longer works, and now even the button inside the car stopped working. I have done a lot of research and it appears that many people who have owned highlanders have had this issue. My car was recalled recently for the power windows, and now the door locks no longer work. I would like to file this complaint with the hope…

I was in the front passenger seat. I put the car cigarette lighter into its holder and inadvertently pressed it in all the way. After a few minutes it flew out of its space, it was all lite up and fell to the floor of the car where it began to burn the mat. I picked it up and got a 2nd degree burn on my finger. We could not believe that it happened so we put the lighter back in the holder and pressed it in. It flew…
